Known for our craftsmanship and dedication to customer satisfaction, we are expanding and looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Lead to help us scale operations, guide our production team, and support a strong, values-based workplace culture.
Role Overview:
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who understands the complexity of manufacturing with sheet metal and excels at leading people and processes. You’ll be responsible for directing plant operations, improving production flow, ensuring product quality, and managing team performance. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential, as is a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, JIT, or Six Sigma methodology.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Oversee and guide day-to-day operations on the production floor, maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and output
• Supervise and support production leads, shop floor staff, and administrative coordination related to manufacturing
• Use lean practices (Kaizen, JIT, Six Sigma) to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate schedules, monitor KPIs, and ensure timely order fulfillment
• Work closely with quality control, engineering, and procurement to remove roadblocks and streamline workflow
• Support safety programs and uphold strict compliance with OSHA and internal guidelines
• Communicate clearly across teams in both English and Spanish, bridging any language or cultural gaps
• Leverage technology including Excel, ERP tools, and online communication platforms to track performance and manage reporting
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance management—including coaching and corrective actions when needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing company utilizing sheet metal—this is not a distribution or assembly role
• 10+ years of leadership in a plant or production environment, with proven team management experience
• Proficient in Lean, JIT, Kaizen, or Six Sigma practices
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and compliance procedures
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Comfortable with a Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM onsite schedule, with occasional Saturdays
• Effective communicator with strong presentation and leadership development skills
• Skilled in Excel, ERP platforms, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting tools
• Experience working closely with HR on employee relations, training, and workforce planning
Industry Experience Preferred:
Aerospace, Defense, Custom Fabrication, Automotive, Appliances, Furniture, or Industrial Product Manufacturing
